Anabec’s Flame & Fire Retardant (A.F.F.R.) is a water-based fire retardant barrier designed to enhance safety in new construction. Our product meets the ASTM E84 standard, providing Class 1 or Class A fire-rated surface burning characteristics. A.F.F.R. serves as an effective barrier against flammability and smoke development, utilizing advanced anti-flame technology with active ingredients, including borate and ammonium polyphosphates, to slow the burn rate.

In addition to its fire-resistant properties, A.F.F.R. offers excellent resistance to insects and rodents, ensuring comprehensive protection for your building materials. When used alongside NewBuild 50, it is crucial to apply A.F.F.R. first for optimal results. This product is FBC System Compatible and approved by Spears Manufacturing Company, Inc. for CPVC compatibility.

For the best results, we highly recommend applying Anabec products prior to any mechanical installations in new construction. Additionally, be mindful of fire sprinkler systems during the application of A.F.F.R.; these systems must be covered to ensure protection, as A.F.F.R. is applied like paint.
